当事務所王敬、潘立冬がシンガポールとマレーシアのIPBA会議へ参加

当事務所のパートナー王敬、潘立冬は2010年5月2日から5日まで、IPBAがシンガポールで開催した第20回弁護士大会に参加した。本会議は史上最大の規模であり、約1100名のアジア・太平洋地区の弁護士が出席し、元シンガポール首相李光耀氏及び元米副大統領アル・ゴア氏も出席しスピーチした。会議の議題は環境保護に関する法律であった。ゴア元副大統領は地球温暖化及び今後の地球環境保護の重要性と緊急性を説明し、出席者に環境保護事業への積極的参加を呼びかけた。
王敬と潘立冬は、会議でシンガポールの数所の現地・国際法律事務所（トップ3の現地法律事務所を含む）の弁護士と交流し、会議閉幕後、有名法律事務所（一部の海事・海商業務の法律事務所を含む）を訪ねた。また、伊藤忠などの有名企業の法律顧問とも交流した。さらに、シンガポールの一部の現地企業・日系企業にも訪問した。5月6日、王敬と潘立冬はIPBAがマレーシアのクアラルンプールで開催した「争議解決小グループ会議」に参加し、ASEAN諸国の弁護士、裁判官及び仲裁員と交流した。会議期間中、TerralexのAZMI & Associates法律事務所を訪ね、当事務所の中国部門の弁護士と交流し、相互間の業務提携について検討した。
シンガポールとマレーシアの訪問を通じて、当事務所はアジア・太平洋地区の弁護士との交流を一層強めた。中国経済発展により、アジア・太平洋地区諸国からの注目をさらに集めることとなる。また多くの法律事務所は中国のクライアントと業務に注目しており、当事務所との交流、研修を希望した。
